The Vanderbilt Project on Unity & American Democracy will host an in-person event to address the most pivotal decisions delivered by the Supreme Court in its 2022 term. This panel of legal experts will examine the decisions surrounding the issues of abortion, religious freedom, school choice and the Second Amendment. The discussion will also touch on additional aspects of federal courts, such as the nomination and confirmation process for Article III judges, the reasoning behind lifetime appointments and the perceived politicization of federal courts. The panel will aim to avoid partisan talking points as they speak on the future of the U.S. Supreme Court from a perspective rooted in the context of history and judicial precedent.
Box lunches will be provided for in-person attendees. In-person attendees are eligible to receive Tennessee CLE credit. This event also will be livestreamed.
