Job Description
The primary role of this position is to support and develop collaborative programming opportunities with the Green Dots program at Vanderbilt. The Green Dots campaign is a coordinated campus effort to reduce and prevent power-based personal violence, including stalking, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, targeting and bullying. Through this internship, the student will collaborate with diverse populations of students, faculty, and staff to implement Green Dots Vanderbilt. This position works directly with the co-chairs of Green Dots to support its initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Green Dots Intern reports directly to the program coordinator of the Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center who serves as one of the co-chairs of Green Dots Vanderbilt. The intern will work approximately 15-20 hours per month, including some evenings and weekends as needed. In collaboration with the program coordinator, the intern will:
- Participate in the Green Dots Committee and at least one of the subcommittees (education, outreach, assessment or staff development),
- Organize and facilitate production of Vanderbilt-based bystander videos for use in workshops and programs,
- Assist with Green Dots Workshop preparation, publicity, and trainings,
- Develop online and print flyers for promoting events,
- Attend and co-facilitate Green Dots educational programs and interactive activities, and
- Assist with other duties and responsibilities associated with the Women’s Center, Project Safe, and Green Dots.

- Enhance and develop comprehensive administration skills of a campus cultural center
- Learn how to work in a professional office in a team setting
Required Qualifications
Full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at Vanderbilt University.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or interest in women, gender, sexuality, ethnic or cultural studies; experience in intercultural work, health education, community organizing or social justice programming. A firm commitment to diversity and cultural pluralism is essential.
Compensation
This internship is unpaid.
